Montecristo Open Slam Cigar – Single Cigar
Release date yet to be announced – some information on this new cigar below from last night at the festival – a long night !
The Montecristo Open Slam measures 5 3/5 (142mm) x 52 a vitola known as Idílicos, a new vitola from Habanos.
It will join the Montecristo Open sub-brand, which launched in 2009 with four vitolas. While pricing has not been announced, Habanos S.A. has said it will be offered in boxes of 20 cigars.
The name appears to be a reference to golf ( other vitolas , Master and Eagle, but as the torpedo Open is called Regata it may not related to golf, due to the large intake of rum I forgot to tie this one down!
Anyway the cigar and packaging is a move to a new and more sophisticated branding, the rest of the range will get this new design as stocks are replenished.
